Snowy Mountains Highway

This is one of Australias great iconic motorcycling roads but in saying that July is not the best time of year to be riding it.

Just after the photo below it started to snow on us as we travelled through in the car on our family holiday. It was a balmy 2°c outside.

  1. Sure pretty even if it was cold. Good thing you were in the car.

  2. Now that is a delicious looking stretch of tar. I'd ride it - even in 2 degrees!

    1. I'm so glad I don't live in Iceland then Sonja.
I guess our winters really are mild compared to the European winters.

  5. Lovely photo. It's amazing seeing it like that but having experienced how blazing hot it can get up there in summer. Enjoy the family holiday - those girls will be grown up before you know it!

    1. Hi Jules
Yeah even as cold as it was i've been there on a 35°C day and had the soles of my alpinestars boots melted off.
Your not wrong the girls are so big now I sometimes have to pinch myself at how little they used to be.
