1 Year Anniversary

Yep it's hard to believe that it's been a year already since starting this blog. When I started this I had no idea of what I was doing or what I wanted to do with this blog or where it would end up taking me. Well not much has changed I still don't know what I'm doing! Although I've met some wonderful people since starting this and motorcycling has shown its true colours and made friends out of complete strangers, both overseas and at home.

Sometimes I think why the hell am I writing any of this stuff down and who the heck would want to read it anyway. But I then read other peoples blogs and enjoy them so maybe, just maybe someone, somewhere might get something out of mine.

I'd like to say a big thank you to all the bloggers who have followed the mad ramblings of this illiterate drunkard, I hope you have enjoyed reading my misadventures in motorcycle land as much as I have in making them. I know I have enjoyed reading your blogs.

Where is this blog going? Who knows really.

.......the road winds ever on.

Keep the rubber side down and stay safe all.

  1. I too started off not knowing what I was doing with my blog. I now really enjoy sharing my rides etc and seeing the comments come through. It's also led me to discover a lot of great blogs to read.

    Keep on blogging!

  2. Thanks Andy, I enjoy reading your posts. Congrats on getting the TT2000 badge and patch. I'd love to fly over one year and hire a bike and do that ride.

  4. Congratulations! I started blogging just to keep a diary of my rides and learn some IT skills & I'm not a fan of Facebook, Google + etc

My ZX14 will be having its 1st birthday in a few weeks as well!

  5. I think most of us start the blogs not knowing where they are going or if anyone would ever want to read our ramblings. Surprise people do read them.

I have enjoyed reading your blog and look forward to hearing more. Congrats on 1 year.

    1. I have been very surprised at how many page views I've got in just 12 months, over 2000. I guess there are people reading. Thanks for reading Trobairitz. You and hubby have a good thing going there.

  10. A year does go fast when you having fun, I started my blog for the same reason, document my trips, then I started reading other blogs and really enjoyed seeing the world through other people's eyes. I love to see pictures of locations and bikes, love the "sliding" Yamaha on the above picture. The problem after a while is there's too many blogs to read :-)
Keep up the good work, I might not comment all the time, no one does, but I do read most blogs on my list.

  11. Thanks for dropping by George. Yes there are a lot of motorcycle blogs to get through, especially when you are away for a few days and then there seems to be heaps of posts to get through.
