Time to make some noise

A couple of weeks back I'd decided that I wanted to make my bike sound like the super sic crossplane mofo that it was born to be, like the Yamaha MotoGP M1 that had spawned this super sexy machine. I had finally ordered an after market exhaust for my new R1. Well today I got my new Yoshimura 3/4 system from the nice people at MCAS.  So this is what it looks like. Picture blatantly stolen from Yoshimura's website.

  1. Thats going to sound great. One of the nicest sounding production bike engines currently made I think along with the Ducati Superquadro engine.

    1. Hi Warren
The crossplane engine is beautiful to hear up close, now it should sound a lot better, stay tuned video up in the next day or so.

  2. I have Remus carbon fiber mufflers on my FJR. They really make a nice sound without making me a member of the "loud pipes save lives" club. I've thought about something different for the Zx-14, but just never got around to it.

    Enjoy!

  5. That's nice and stylish Steve. What's the latest info on whether it needs a Power Commander?

    1. I've done some seraching around the interwebs and you can choose 2 paths by the looks. Either get the ECU flashed or go down the power commander route. For now I'll get the ECU flashed and go from there I think.
