A Fond Farewell

After 15 years of good great times it is time to say goodbye to my R1 as it is finally retired. The minister of finance and warfare has finally relented and I can get myself a new bike. This is my tribute video to this great bike with some fantastic memories from the last 15 years.

  1. Nice tribute. I can't recall ever having owned a vehicle longer than maybe seven or eight years. Fifteen years is a long time running. Now what's next?

    1. Yes it has been both exiting and a bit sad in equal measures, the old R1 was such a great bike. What to replace it with. All will be revealed shortly.

  3. That was lovely! You and your bike went on many great travels! I hope your next bike does just as many journies and takes you on lots of adventures.

  5. Very nice tribute. I am the tortoise to your viciously fast hare. There is no possible future scenario in which I will achieve that skill level or speed. Breathtaking!

    1. Thanks David. Tortoise or Hare, I've done both and on the same bike. The R1 was ggod like that you could cruise around on it slowly or it could wick it up on the track. Not everyone should go fast, unless they are up for the challenge and upgrade their skill levels by track time. Sometimes it is nice just to cruise around. Oh did I just say that? Must be getting old(er)
